Celebrities on the NHS Frontline (BBC One, 9pm)

Reporter Stacey Dooley, Paralympic gold medalist Jonnie Peacock, ex-politician Ann Widdecombe and medical journalist Michael Mosley join the staff at King’s College Hospital in London to meet the people who are keeping Britain alive and healthy. Stacey gets a look at the pressure that heart attacks are putting on the NHs, while Jonnie looks at how hospitals are coping with their most vulnerable patients – emotionally, as well as physically.

Adoption Stories (3, 8.30pm)

A third series of the show that reveals how Irish families have been affected by adoption. Cliona Moore grew up in a loving family, though she was closer to her adoptive father than her mother. Tragically, her partner and father died within days of each other, leaving her devastated. Cliona decided that it was time to seek out her birth mother, but a series of dead ends brought her search to a halt. Another woman, Terri, tries to find her son who was taken away from her by a mother and baby home.

Paul O’Grady: For the Love of Dogs (3, 7.30pm)

Paul O’Grady returns to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home to meet more cute animals. Paul immediately falls head-over-heels with a little puppy named Tulip, but Tulip’s story might just leave him heartbroken. Paul also meets a hyperactive dog named Scooby, who is studying for exams that could potentially turn him into a life saver.

Everybody’s talking about… The record number of complaints made against Love Island this week.

In total, Ofcom received more than 2,500 complaints about the ‘emotional manipulation of Dani Dyer’. On the night that the episode aired, there were 600 complaints made in total, but a further 1,900 have been made in the days since.
